Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains what information SELAM Safety & Compliance (“SELAM”, “we”, “us”) collects through selamsafety.com, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers this website only.

At a glance

  • We collect what you type into our forms (like your name, phone, email and DOT number) and basic website usage data.
  • We use it to contact you about the service you asked for and to improve our website.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We share it only with the companies that help us run our website and reply to you.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on our website (for example the contact form or the New Entrant Audit request), we collect what you enter:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • USDOT number
  • Your message, if you write one
  • The website language you were using (English, Amharic or Tigrinya)

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and your approximate location (city or region). This comes from our hosting provider’s server logs and from Google Analytics (see “Cookies and analytics” below).

We do not ask for sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, bank details or health records through this website. Please do not send them through our forms.

2. How we use your information

  • To call or email you about the service you asked about
  • To provide, manage and improve our compliance services
  • To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it
  • To keep our website secure and prevent spam or abuse
  • To meet our legal obligations

We only contact you about your request and our services. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, and only so they can do that work for us:

  • Website hosting (Vercel)
  • Database storage for form submissions (Supabase)
  • Email (Google)
  • Website analytics (Google Analytics)

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger or sale of our business.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are popular. Google Analytics uses cookies (small files stored in your browser) and similar technology to collect information about your visit. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. We do not use advertising cookies, and other than Google Analytics we do not allow third parties to collect information about your activity on our website.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Do Not Track: some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common standard for these signals, our website does not currently respond to them.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep form submissions for as long as we need them to respond to you and provide our services, and as required for our legal, tax and business records. When we no longer need the information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

6. How we protect your information

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and limited access to stored data. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • Show you the personal information we have about you
  • Correct information that is wrong
  • Delete your information
  • Stop contacting you

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional privacy rights, and we will honor them as required by law.

8. Children’s privacy

Our website is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make important changes, we will post a notice on our website.
